Teacher of Science

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a passionate and motivated Science Teacher to join a secondary School in the Small Heath area. This is a full-time role which requires planning and marking of lessons. The role is due to commence in March 2025 and will run for the rest of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

– Teach science subjects to secondary school students
– Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum
– Assess and mark students’ work regularly to monitor their progress
– Provide feedback and guidance to students to support their learning
– Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create effective teaching strategies
– Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
– Stay updated with current developments and research in science education

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
– Degree in a Science related subject
– Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and teaching methods
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
– Organisational skills to plan lessons and assessments effectively
