Zest Education are looking to recruit hard-working, enthusiastic, and confident Teaching Assistants who are keen to work and who are looking to explore other schools within their local area. Teaching Assistants (TA’s) are an integral part of of the teaching staff, especially in secondary schools, the role requires you to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 15:30pm.
We work with a wide range of schools across Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent and Shropshire, areas including; Cannock, Telford, Newport, Burton, Lichfield , Newcastle under Lyme to name a few.
The role:
- Promote class interaction and ensure pupils engage throughout the lessons
- Provide opportunities for developing independence
- Prepare, maintain and use learning resources and assist pupils to use them
You will be required the work on a one-to-one basis and within small groups and due to the age range of these students, you must be flexible across all age groups.
All applicants must be NVQ level 2 qualified (or above) in a relevant subject or have a minimum of 3 months teaching assistant (TA) experience within the last 2 years. You need to be proactive, energetic, and committed to engaging pupils into wanting to learn, inspiring them to be confident and independent.
You will also need to be patient and sensitive and able to comfort children.
