A special educational needs (SEND) school in Telford are recruiting for a positive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year.
The school caters for students from the age of 3-18 with a wide range of needs, including social and emotional issues, learning difficulties, mental health problems and associated conditions. The successful candidate must be resilient and confident with managing challenging behaviours.
You would be working alongside other team members including senior leaders, classroom teachers, teaching assistants and other support roles. The provision includes small class sizes of 8 pupils, sensory friendly learning spaces, large classrooms, outside play areas, high staff to student ratio and a personalised curriculum approach.
The role:
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils and young people
- Must have experience supporting individuals with SEND or have experience in care setting
- You will be working within a fast paced and ever-changing environment
- You must be a dedicated individual to providing children with a secure and supportive learning environment
