Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting for a full time Teaching Assistant to work at a Primary Academy in Tamworth.

This Academy is open for Nursery and Reception aged pupils and then grow year-on-year up to Year 6. In September 2025, the school are looking for someone who will work closely with the Year One Class Teacher to provide an enriched learning journey for children in the newly built community.

In addition to the ability to perform the duties of the post, issues relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children will need to be demonstrated; these will include:

  • Motivation to work with children and young people,
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people,
  • Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours,
  • Attitudes to the use of authority and maintaining discipline. be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
