The school is looking for a positive and engaging teacher who can provide continuity for pupils while delivering high-quality lessons in a supportive and well-organised environment.

About the Role

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a teacher seeking regular part-time work without the additional workload of planning. All lessons and resources have already been prepared, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging learning experiences, maintaining classroom routines, and supporting pupil progress.

You will teach a well-established Year 1 class every Thursday, ensuring pupils remain motivated, engaged, and on track with their learning.

  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  • Mark work in line with the school’s policies.
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Ensure continuity of learning throughout the placement.
  • Follow school policies and procedures at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Be confident teaching within Key Stage 1.
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Deliver engaging lessons from pre-prepared planning.
  • Be organised, reliable, and professional.
  • Build positive relationships quickly with pupils and colleagues.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
