Year 2 Teacher – Part-Time | Sparkbrook | March 2026 

Are you passionate about teaching and shaping young minds? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school based in Sparkbrook. This part-time position (3 days per week) is due to start in March 2026 offering you the opportunity to make a lasting difference in pupils’ learning and development.

Key Responsibilities of the Year 2 Teacher

  • Plan and deliver creative, high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Support pupils in developing their skills and knowledge across key subject areas.

  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policy.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff about pupil progress.

Requirements for the Year 2 Teacher Role

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • Proven experience working as a Year 2 Teacher or within a Key Stage 1 setting.

  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching practices.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.

  • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
