Year 2 Teacher

Zest Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher for a welcoming and well‑resourced primary school in Tamworth. This full‑time role begins after May half‑term and continues until the end of the academic year, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive Key Stage 1 environment.

The Role

As the Year 2 Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons across the KS1 curriculum
• Support pupils through the transition from Year 1 and preparation for KS2
• Work closely with the parallel Year 2 teacher and wider KS1 team
• Use assessment effectively to support progress and close gaps
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

What We’re Looking For

You must:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Have experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 2
• Be confident delivering the Year 2 curriculum and supporting SATs readiness
• Bring a positive, proactive and child‑centred approach
• Be available full‑time from after May half‑term
