Zest Education is an award-winning education agency dedicated to providing top-quality education professionals to schools across the UK. We are currently working closely with a charming school in Wolverhampton that is seeking a Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
Situated in the heart of Wolverhampton, our partner school is a welcoming and inclusive educational environment committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning experience for all its students. With a strong emphasis on academic excellence and holistic development, the school prides itself on creating a supportive and engaging atmosphere where both staff and pupils can thrive. The school’s leadership team is dedicated to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Year 2 class teacher to support the delivery of the curriculum and provide individualized assistance to students as needed. Responsibilities will include assisting with lesson planning, implementing educational activities, monitoring student progress, and supporting students with their learning needs. The teaching assistant will also help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promote students’ social and emotional development, and contribute to the overall well-being of the classroom.
Requirements:
– Relevant experience working in a similar role within a primary school setting
– A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students’ lives
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
– Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting student learning
– Relevant qualifications and certifications in education or a related field

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
