Year 4 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you passionate about education and supporting young learners? Zest Education, a reputable recruitment agency specializing in the education sector, is currently seeking a dedicated  year 1 Teaching Assistant to join our team. This exciting opportunity is based in a lovely school in Wolverhampton, starting ASAP and continuing until January 2024.

As a Teaching Assistant at the school, your main responsibility will be to support the classroom teacher and provide assistance to students throughout their learning journey. This role does not involve planning, marking, or teaching, allowing you to focus solely on supporting the students’ individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the classroom teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Support students with their daily activities, including classroom tasks and assignments
– Ensure students’ safety and well-being during school hours
– Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
– Maintain accurate records and documentation as required

Qualifications and Requirements:
– Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred
– A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students
– Ability to work effectively within a team environment
– Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
