Teaching Assistant – Marston Green

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have experience working with students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)? Zest Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to start as a Teaching Assistant for a school in Marston Green.

Responsibilities:
– Provide support and assistance to students with SEND, aged between 4 and 19, in a classroom setting.
– Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
– Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet individual needs and abilities.
– Assist with personal care tasks when necessary.
– Promote the social and emotional development of students.

Requirements:
– Experience working with students with SLD or PMLD is essential.
– A genuine passion for working with children with SEND.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, resilience, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
– Relevant qualifications or training in a related field would be advantageous.

This is a full-time position starting in February. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative school environment that values the unique abilities and potential of every student.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
