Teacher of MFL

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) for an outstanding secondary school in the Kings Heath area. The language department is highly successful and the school are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual who is both French and Spanish speaking. This is a full time role where planning and marking is involved. The role is due to commence in April 2025.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in MFL education, with a proven track record of delivering excellent results. You will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire our students to develop their language skills and foster a love for French and Spanish.

Key responsibilities:

– Delivering high-quality MFL lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5
– Planning and preparing engaging and challenging lessons that cater to different learning styles
– Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
– Collaborating with the MFL department to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
– Organising and participating in extracurricular activities such as language clubs, trips, and cultural events

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Fluent in both French and Spanish
– Experience teaching MFL at secondary level, including KS4 and KS5
– Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the MFL curriculum
– Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
