Zest Education are currently looking for a Teacher of Biology to join a secondary school in the Redditch area. This is a full-time role, and planning and marking will be required. The school is part of a Multi Academy Trust and prides itself on its successful Science department. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Biology up to KS5. They should have a strong subject knowledge and be able to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons. The role is due to commence in September 2025 and is expected to run for two terms.
– Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons to students from KS3 to KS5
– Mark and assess students’ work, providing constructive feedback to support their progress
– Collaborate with the Science department to create and implement schemes of work
– Contribute to the development of resources and teaching materials
– Attend departmental meetings and contribute to the school’s overall improvement
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
– Experience teaching Biology up to KS5 is essential
– Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Biology
– Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
– Excellent organisational and communication skills
– Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
