Chemistry Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education has a close working relationship with a secondary school in Stoke on Trent who need a full time Chemistry Teacher to start in the new academic year. This role is due to finish in December 2024.

The curriculum is ambitious for all students and aims to enable every student to achieve well, regardless of their starting points. The schools aims are based on the fundamental belief that all children want to succeed, can achieve well and that the staff can help them overcome whatever challenges they face.

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of Chemistry and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
