Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Music to join an excellent secondary school in the Solihull area. This is a full-time position, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator or a newly qualified teacher to further develop their career. The role is due to start in September 2024 and has the potential to run for the full academic year.

Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students of all ability levels
– Teach a range of musical concepts, including theory, history, composition, and performance
– Inspire students to develop their musical skills and talents
– Organise and lead school performances and events
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the school’s music curriculum

Requirements:

– Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification
– Strong knowledge and understanding of music theory and technique
– Experience teaching music at KS3-KS5 level
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to motivate and inspire students
– Commitment to promoting a positive learning environment
– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population
