Zest Education are currently working alongside a school in Tamworth to recruit a Physics teacher. The role is full time and due to start April 2024 for one half term with the likelihood of the role being extended .

The successful candidate will create lessons that engage the students and allows them to be creative. The successful candidate will be working as part of the larger science department and supported by the wider senior leadership team.

Ideally the chosen candidate should have excellent subject knowledge up to KS4 with subject knowledge at KS5 not essential but desirable and preferred. The school is a local secondary with a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) who strive to support any staff that come into the school. Training is always offered to those who feel they need any extra support or would like to develop themselves.

The successful applicant will have:
  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Physics and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
