Physics Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit a full time Physics teacher for a school in the Stafford area. This role is set to commence May 2024 for the rest of the academic year.

The school are ideally looking for a dynamic physics teacher with a professional approach to teaching and learning. The school are achieving well academically and are looking for a member of staff  who is able to continue this going forward and also look to improve for the future.

The school provides strong support for developing their staff including any extra training staff may want to undertake so are looking for a candidate who is looking to develop their skills and their profession. The school is also a large secondary, with many students staying on for the sixth form years leading to a higher uptake of subjects include physics.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Physics and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
