Teacher of MFL

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a motivated MFL Teacher, who is both French and Spanish speaking, to join a secondary school in the Tyseley area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching languages and be able to plan and deliver lessons to students across KS3 and KS4. This is a full-time role due to commence as soon as possible, in order to cover a long term absence. The role is expected to run for one term.

Responsibilities:

– Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality MFL lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
– Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources to cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
– Assess and provide feedback on student performance, and track their progress throughout the academic year.
– Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
– Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
– Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
– Fluent in French and Spanish, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
– Experience teaching MFL at KS3 and KS4 levels, with a proven track record of student success.
– Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum requirements for MFL.
– Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
– Excellent organisational and time management skills.
– A collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute to the wider school community.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
