Job Description

Zest Education have an excellent opportunity for a Spanish-speaking Teacher to join a fantastic Languages department at a secondary school in the Solihull area. This full-time role is due to commence in January 2025 and is expected to run for the rest of the academic year.

The school itself has developed an excellent reputation in recent years due to its highly successful results at GCSE and A level. The MFL department at this school has also benefited from a recent investment, meaning the department is one of the leading ones in the area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 4 students. Your main responsibilities will include creating lesson plans that align with the curriculum, using a variety of teaching methods and resources to ensure student engagement and understanding. You will also be required to assess and mark student work, providing constructive feedback to help them progress in their language skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Spanish and teaching, with a passion for inspiring students to learn and achieve their potential. You should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Successful candidates will have:
  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • Strong Spanish speaking ability
  • A passion for the teaching of Languages and the ability to plan and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS4 curriculum
  • A team ethos and the ability to build strong and professional relationships with both colleagues and pupils
  • Experience in classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
